November 7 - November 28, 2016 - At TT Orlando campground in Clermont, FL

Despite how wonderful our Shakedown Cruise was out West for 6 months (which turned into a 7 month, crazy figure '8' trip), it was equally wonderful to be back in Florida where the temperatures were 'warm' again, after some 30 degrees in Indiana.

Bill has stayed in TT Orlando before (about 9 years ago) when he used to 'full-time' aboard his  Monaco Knight 40 PDQ, and so he says it has not changed much since then, except that it has improved as to campsites and services. There are 812 campsites here and there is constant work to upgrade ALL of them to include 50-Amp electric service availability (included in the FREE stay for Thousand Trails Elite members such as we are). There is a large lake with canoe, kayak and paddle boats available to check out, putt-putt golf, a driving-net to practice driving (golf), adult and kiddie pools, a gym, horse shoes, shuffleboard courts, pickle ball courts, and many more recreational options. The campsite we found and selected was a corner unit off the main road in the A section (#1), which sets the sun side to our passenger side and thus kept the coach cooler and more controllable as the sensor to A/C #1 is directly on the outer wall of the driver side. Although the sun is on the passenger side there is plenty of shade available as much from the trees as from the awning. This location also gives us a large yard in our entertainment side where we have our picnic table with outside gas grill hooked up, our 8' x 16' mat under the awning, shepherds hooks with a bug zapper and lanterns, our green rope light and 2 directors chairs with side tables and 2 rocking chairs and 2 separate folding side tables for entertaining passers by and neighbors who upon seeing and identifying with either the Aggie flag, the Michigan Wolverines flag or our solar-light highlighted US flag or coach can stop by and sit for awhile to chit chat. Sometime passersby will also be walking their dogs and we always manage to attract the puppies to come be petted for awhile and thus get our dog 'fix'.

The coach and Edith after a fresh bath and waxing. Even the wheels are shiny bright.

Here is one of the local 'wildlife' of this campground, a gopher tortoise, which Bill was not content with just seeing and photographing, but had to pet it too, much to the tortoise's dismay.

From this location we have been traveling daily to either Bill's or Mary's doctor appointments, or just going to the house to clean and sort through what goes and stays. Woops! We can't say anymore about that just yet as Mary has not told anyone yet, and we don't want you to find out about it this way. (Suspenseful music playing in the background.)

Photo: The Super Moon (won't return until 2034) so we may not get the chance to see it again.

On November 15 - 16 we also celebrated our FIRST YEAR Anniversary (met on 11/15/2015 at the Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora FL). So Bill pre-planned the occasion with reservations at the Lakeside Inn for the 15th to re-live our 'meeting date'. It was a surprise to Mary until the day before, knowing only that Bill had pre-planned how to celebrate the occasion. More on that coming on our next Blog Post. We even wore the same outfits that we did last year and took the same photo (on the rocking chairs at the verandah) as we did last year.
