Sunday, April 30, 2023 - On the road from Wildwood FL to Red Bay ALWe drove 289 miles to the Official Florida Welcome Station at the FL / AL line. We love this place to spend the night as being off the Interstate (it's on US 231). Right past it is the Official Alabama Welcome Station, though it is smaller and not as nice. There is always plenty of parking and we are always able to open all our slides to get comfortable.
Monday, May 1, 2023 - On to Red Bay Acres campground in Red Bay, AL
We continued on US 231, connecting to I-65 at Montgomery, following it to I-22 at Birmingham, and connecting to Hwy 19 and 24 into Red Bay. We have an appointment on May 2, 2023, to add a Girard window awning. Girard has a service center in Red Bay and continues to use the name Girard, though the company was bought out by Lippert.

After installing the window awning we drove on toward the Shipshewana RV Park and Service Center, first stopping at the Pipe Creek Rest Area overnight (298 miles) on May 2; and then on to the Auburn Rest Area (314 miles) on May 3; and then a final 53 miles into the Shipshewana RV Park on Thursday, May 4.
Friday, May 5, 2023 - At JC Refrigeration
07:00am to install the 4 300watt solar panels we have been carrying in our loft hide-a-bed, which were taken off of the 5th wheel. After they were done with that, timely, Nancy Corey drove down from Grand Rapids to join us for lunch and a get-together.
Saturday, May 6, 2023 - Lowery's Meat & Seafood Market in Buchanan MI
We took the opportunity to drive up to the Lowery's Meat & Seafood Market in Buchanan MI, (58 miles away) so Mary could get 30-40 lbs. of bratts and some breakfast sausage, to fill our freezers.
Sunday, May 7, 2023 - We departed Shipshewana and drove the short 78 miles to the REV Service Center in Decatur IN for our 06:00am appointment on Monday, May 8 to Friday, May 22, 2023 for the warranty repairs.NEXT POST:
